We are lucky in the South Hills of Pittsburgh to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls and water features, Pittsburgh's parks and playgrounds keep my kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends!), and they're FREE!
I often get asked what our favorite playgrounds are, and you can find my family's picks for our top five playgrounds and parks to visit in the South Hills HERE. Below you will find many parks located within the South Hills of Pittsburgh. In our MacKID South Hills Playgrounds & Parks Guide, we make it our mission to visit as many Pittsburgh parks in the South Hills as we can to share with our readers our personal experience at each as well as any details that might help you make the decision if that's a park you'd like to take your family to. If you head to any of these parks and share any photos or videos on social media, use #pghmackid for a chance to be featured in our stories or even an upcoming article!
