We've compiled a list of public pools, water parks and splash pads, worth your while, in and around the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Dive into summer before the countdown resets.
Swimming Pools
1. South Park Wave Pool

This wave pool is not only fun for the whole family, but it's also wheelchair accessible. You can take a trip and have the time of your life with everyone you love. 2. Phillips Swimming Pool

Come to Phillips for some fun in the sun. When your skin is melting off, you can take a dip here, They also offer lifeguard training for your teen who is looking for a fun summer job! Check out the pool and see if it's the place for you, either visiting or working-wise.
3. Dormont Pool

A Dormont pool favorite is the awesome slide here. Guess what? It's open this summer! Check out Dormont Pool today to race your friends and see who's the fastest. A concession stand, a kiddy pool and more await you. Daily rate is $8/person, children 3 and under are free. Opens Saturday, May 25, 2024 through Monday, September 2, 2024. Closed first Monday of each month.
4. Mt. Lebanon Outdoor Swim Center

This fun attraction has a lot more than just a pool. This pool offers lap swimming and recreational swimming, as well as a cool slide. But, unlike any other swimming pool, there's a pool-side rock climbing wall. Dare your friends to see who can reach the top, but not when you're soaking wet. You can also rent out this pool for a private pool party Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's. Day passes are $10/adult, $9/kid, 1 and under are free. Swim Center Opens May 25th, 2024
5. Whitehall Swimming Pool

Whitehall Swiming pool is no longer open to the public and guests must provide proof of residency. A Whitehall resident ages 18+ may purchase admission for 2 non-resident guests. Whitehall's pool offers a baby pool with zero-depth entry and bubblers underneath a shade sail for your young ones so you can have fun with your little ones and not have to worry about them getting splashed by a big kid. There is also zero depth entry into the main pool with spray features. This large and fun pool with water slides, diving board and climbing wall will be just what you're looking for to cool down. Opening Day May 25th, 2024.
6. Upper St. Clair Pool

This pool offers year-round aquatic activities such as aquatics group exercise classes, indoor leisure pool schedule, lap pool reservation (open to members only), lifeguarding classes (American Red Cross Certification) and instructor position, outdoor pool, pool parties and more! This facility is open to non-members Monday through Friday by advanced registration only and weekends are reserved for members only. No walk-ins will be permitted, and no daily visitor passes will be available to purchase on holidays. The outdoor pool will open on Saturday, May 25th from 11am - 7pm.
7. Baldwin Pool

Baldwin’s swimming pool is located in Elm Leaf Park, just below the Borough Building Complex off of Romanus Drive in North Baldwin. This ADA accessible pool is open for both residents and non-residents and will satisfy all ages. There is a set of slides located in the deep end for more fun but don't forget to bring your own chair or pool blanket to lounge on.
8. Wilson Park Pool

This pool has a fun slide with a twist, literally. It's got a big deep end with lanes so you can race your friends like you're in the Olympics. The shallow area is also decently big so, you have lots of space to play with your little ones. Green Tree Swimming Pool has a little something for everyone but daily admission is limited to Green Tree residents or guests accompanied by a Green Tree Resident or Season Pass Holder. Non-residents are able to purchase a season pass. The Green Tree Pool opens on Saturday, May 25 for the 2024 summer swimming season and closes on Monday, September 2 (Labor Day).
9. Crafton Swimming Pool

The Crafton Pool has a nice wading area that follows into the deep end, with a longer wall dividing the two for safety. A concession stand and slides will occupy your little swimmers and leave them satisfied. There is also a separate pool for your little ones to enjoy in peace, equipped with a pirate ship and mini slide. 10. North Park Pool

This indoor waterpark has it all! Try your best at surfing to see if you can hang 10, on the FlowRider. There's even a Tiki Tree House, so you can climb your way to the top, all while getting drenched and exploring the ins and outs of the house. This park is filled with waterslides of every kind and a wave pool and lazy river. There are multiple children's play areas to get splashed in as well. This park will have your kids begging you to go back every summer.
4. The Great Wolf Lodge

This massive indoor waterpark has plenty of attractions for everyone to enjoy. We'll start with the waterpark itself: wave pool, kiddie areas, lazy river, hot springs, slides galore and slide boarding. This park has it all, so you'll never want to leave this resort. When you're still looking for things to do, but you're spent at the waterpark, try bowling or Howler's Peak Ropes Course or Moon Glow Golf. There are too many attractions and opportunities for you to get bored here or to stay for one day.
