Idlewild ushers in autumn with all-new ways to Halloween during the 20th season of its one-of-a-kind family-friendly fall festival, HALLOWBOO! This year, the park will celebrate with more days than ever, beginning Saturday, September 14. The Best Kids Park in the World transforms into the spookiest and silliest place in the Laurel Highlands with five new Halloween activities, the enchanted Trick or Treat Trail through Story Book Forest, unique seasonal entertainment, Halloween themed activities and much more.Idlewild will celebrate its 20th annual HALLOWBOO! event with more than a dozen ways to have a ghostly good time. Plus, families are invited for meet and greets and shows with PBS KIDS’ Daniel Tiger and his Neighborhood friends, Miss Elaina, O the Owl, Prince Wednesday and Katerina Kittycat, every weekend plus a bounty of other boo-riffic kid-friendly fall fun for 2024, including:
- NEW! The Sasquatchanna Railroad takes passengers on a spine-tingling adventure through the wild woods where Big Foot is said to roam with mysterious encounters and a festive spooky atmosphere;
- NEW!Grigsby's Trunk of Giggles invites guests to explore the whimsical world of the adorable and mysterious Grisby;
- NEW!Lil' Foot's Great Forest Adventure offers a delightful walk-through attraction that blends imaginative storytelling with interactive fun;
- NEW!The Confusing Heel Museum: Bigfoot's Haunting Hoax is a quirky, offbeat museum dedicated to the humorous side of Bigfoot lore, featuring a range of amusing anecdotes, questionable photographs and strange artifacts related to legendary Bigfoot sightings in the region;
- NEW!The Mystic Wilds Jungle Maze invites guests on a Halloween jungle twilight experience with an array of fun and frightful surprises where thrilling adventure meets the spooky season; and
- NEW!Steel City Ghostbusters will stand guard against the ghouls and goblins during HALLOWBOO!’s final weekend.

Back by popular demand, a variety of fall activities have returned to HALLOWBOO! for the 2024 season including foam parties, Mad Science shows and much more. The magical spook-tacular event also features dance parties, festive food and more than 30 popular Idlewild rides.
Idlewild’s HALLOWBOO! begins Saturday, September 14 and runs Saturdays and Sundays through October 27 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Daily admission tickets are available for only $24.99 for a limited time.
