This weekend we pulled out our fall gear and bundled up for a night of fun at Pittsburgh Zombie Assault! It was our first time going there, so we weren't entirely sure what to expect but boy, we were not disappointed! It came as a very pleasant surprise to learn that Pittsburgh Zombie Assault was so much more than zombie hunting (although that might have been my favorite part) and had attractions that were appropriate for everyone in our group ages 5-40!

Pittsburgh Zombie Assault is located in McDonald, PA and is open Friday & Saturday from 7pm-1am. General admission is $25 and includes:

🏚️ Haunted Trail - seriously one of the coolest haunted "houses" I've been too. They actors even toned it down when they knew the little kids were coming and were very aware of the responses coming from the little ones.

Our little MacKID's must've gone through the Haunted Trail at least a half dozen times!

🧟‍♂️ Zombie Firing Range - Put on your safety glasses and strap up with 750 rounds of glow in the dark GellyBalls in an attempt to keep the zombies at bay from the safety of a firing range.

🎥 Outdoor Movie - you will not be watching Disney's Zombies on this outdoor screen, but a collection of zombie classics rotate throughout the evening under a covered pavilion.

🔥 Bonfires - warm up by one of the many bonfires scattered throughout the attraction. Make the night a little bit sweeter by purchasing a s'mores set up and stick from the concession stand.

Splurge on the hot chocolate! It was delicious!

Additional attractions include:

2 Escape Rooms -  🤡 Circus and 🧟‍♀️ Zombie themed- I absolutely LOVED that this escape room is family friendly, and even the littlest kids could be a part of solving this mystery. Did you know that Urban Assault hosts these escape rooms every day of the week? If you come out during a week day, you will get a full-on 45 minute escape room experience. If you come out on a Friday or Saturday during the Halloween Haunt, they have shortened the experience (but not the fun) to 15 minutes so that they can accommodate guests all evening. I'm proud to say that the girls went in the circus themed escape room and escaped with a little over 2 minutes to spare (and before the boys made it out of the Zombie escape room).

🪓 Axe throwing - try your luck at axing a zombie's head on MacKID! Use discount code "mackids" when you book your Zombie Assault and receive a FREE game of axe throwing! If you manage actually to hit the board, we need to see the evidence #pghmackid.

🧟 Walk-through zombie shoot *NEW THIS YEAR* was easily my favorite part. Mask up and walk through the woods on an LED lit trail but don't let your guard down, there are zombies everywhere and YOU have to shoot them with your GellyBalls! In the event you run out or want to do another round, you can always purchase 🔫 Extra ammo

Have you heard enough? Book your tickets online at pittsburghzombieassault.com and don't forget to use the discount code "mackids" when you are checking out!

Use #pghmackid on the photos you take while you're out finding your family fun for a chance to be featured on our social media!
