Solar Observing Starts 5:30PMDescription
Come join the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh for solar viewing through the observatory’s 10″ refractor telescope, followed by a night of looking at the stars through the 10″ or the observatory’s 24″ Ritchey-Chrétien telescope. Visitors of all ages are welcome to tour the observatory, watch a planetarium show, or listen to presentations on a variety of astronomy related topics. There are also activities for children and many of our members set up their own personal scopes for additional viewing opportunities.
