Growing up my mother’s favorite movie was Annie. When I think of Annie, the first word that comes to mind is “nostalgia”. I couldn’t count how many times I watched the movie as a child, and it just brought back a lot of those memories!l I was so excited to take my mother to see the show! It was such a beautiful night in Pittsburgh to see the show at the Benedum.
The show was so heartwarming. Annie, had such a beautiful and powerful voice. She emotionally set the tone for the entire show. Seeing the dog Sandy was so sweet and he behaved so well! He was a real crowd pleaser. The props and clothing were also reminiscent of the time the play is set. It all set the feel for that era of time.
Miss Hannigan, played an amazing role and it brought back memories of her sarcastic humor and personality in the movie.
The show was even better than I imagined. Overall, Annie is a heartwarming story with an entertaining performance that everyone needs to experience at least once or twice!
