By K.D. Meucci November 12, 2024

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.  Did you know that November 13 is World Kindness Day?  Kindness is like a ripple; one small act can spread out farther than we can imagine. Try one of these small acts at home to celebrate being kind and spreading kindness in our world.

  • Leave your kids a sticky note on their door, mirror, lunchbox that tells them your favorite thing about them.
  • Write a note with dry-erase markers on their bathroom mirror so they see it first thing in the morning.
  • Have your child write a sticky note, card, or draw a picture for the mail carrier, teacher, babysitter, bus driver, classmate, neighbor.

  • Take your teacher a piece of your Halloween candy.
  • Write a kind note with sidewalk chalk where people will see it.
  • Hold the door for someone.
  • Smile and say hello.
  • Say please and thank you.
  • Give a friend a compliment.
  • Help set the table for a meal.

  • Ask to help with cleaning up the home.
  • Go through your toys and find some you can donate to other kids.
