Rolling Hills Park: A Fun Destination for Kids in Peters Township

By Emily Papa, Macaroni KID South Hills of Pittsburgh Publisher August 19, 2024

The new Rolling Hills Park Playground in Peters Township is located on the former Rolling Hills Golf Club, directly across the street from the new Peters Township High School. If you're looking for a local playground to take your kids to and want to check out Rolling Hills Park, here’s what you can expect:

🅿️ Plenty of parking, but it is a short walk from the playground. The bonus here is that there are no cars near the playground.

🛝  The first thing you’ll notice is the vibrant, brightly colored plastic equipment that immediately captures every child's attention. The playground features two distinct playground areas – one for younger children and another for children ages 5-12. Both playgrounds offer partial sunshades. Playground equipment includes ramps for accessibility, climbers, teeter totters, spinners, slides, musical instruments, interactive play elements, monkey bars, and obstacles. The playgrounds are divided by a hill that may seem steep at first glance and hosts an orange plastic slide. However, my 16-month-old niece navigated it with ease and loved sliding from the top playground to the bottom.

📱 This was a first for me, but Rolling Hills Park Playground is high-tech! Before you visit, download the Biba Playground app to unlock interactive features that enhance the playground experience.

☂️ Large covered pavilion with tables adjacent to the play area for some fun out of the sun or a shaded lunch. This would be a great pavilion for a party with a stainless steel bar area, electricity, a grill, and ample seating.

🚽 Real bathrooms are available
