Summer is a great time to devote one-on-one time with your kids. I know as a new twin mom, my daughter really needs her mommy days right now. In browsing “things to do” with daughters in Pittsburgh, I found a few ideas to share. I hope these inspire you to have your own girl's day with your mini.
- Princess Gateway Clipper Cruise. There are two summer cruises in Pittsburgh with princesses on July 17th and August 4th.
- Have a tea party with Hi-Tea at Velvet Terrace. The Velvet Terrace is a new Hi-Tea and cocktail lounge in Cecil Township that’s beautifully designed and also offers private events. I’ve been looking for an excuse to head here.
- Enchanted Experiences Princess Meet & Greet. Enchanted Experiences is a well-known character experience company here in Pittsburgh, and they’re offering numerous events throughout the summer to meet & greet a princess!
- Mommy & Me Manicures! Head out to Frenchies South Hills for a little one-on-one time and pampering.
- Pony Palooza. My daughter has been begging me for her summer introduction to horseback riding, and we recently discovered Pony Palooza, also offering several summer camps this year. The stable is in Hickory, PA and offers group and private lessons.
- Lilliput Town Center. An adorable indoor play town in the heart of McMurray, this is always one of our favorite stops.
- The Pottery Place in Bethel Park has plenty to do and paint. Embrace creativity and then grab lunch together afterward.
- Only Mood in Bethel is a newer party + play venue that has plenty of drop-in crafts, activities, and private party rentals. Perfect for a girl’s day out.
- Drive-in Movie Theater. Nothing says summer like a drive-in movie. Brownsville Theater might be the closest we have to us in the South Hills and now screening If and Inside Out 2.
- Dress Haute Princess in Tanger Outlets. Have a try-on session at Dress Haute Couture House. The new location is in Tanger Outlets, and they also offer kids’ birthday parties.
