A Note from the Publisher

Hello MacFam! Happy Monday!

I'd like to say that I'm all ready for spooky season over here, however, our main decoration, my massive spider web that we hang from our second story window, has been in a tangle for a week in our front yard and I just don't have it in me to untangle it to the end. So there's that lol.

I'm also scrambling to create my first trunk ever for the Moon Halloween Spectacular Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday - I'll take any tips you might have!

But aside from all that, I feel like I have been crossing some things off my Fall Bucket List

I don't know if people are trying to make up for missing two years during COVID, but I feel like there are SO many events going on right now! To help you navigate, we have season long fall attractions and events, PYO Apples and Pumpkins in our Fall Guide; but because events are being added daily, you will find the most up to date info on the event calendar.

Two weekends ago we took the kids to Pittsburgh Zombie Assault and this past weekend we survived Phantom Fright Nights at Kennywood. The kids had such a blast from the moment we for there, as they were handed media badges for "Influencer Day."

My little influencers

The kids loved seeing the parts of Kennywood all dressed up for Haunts!

We had a behind the scenes tour of the Malice and Wonderland "choose your destiny" maze.

We got to watch make-up demos with the actors and met Chris Pope, the Make-up Manager who creates all the mask and props at Kennywood by hand with his partner Nick Kardos.

The whole day was a super fun experience, and hopefully you caught some of our fun stories on social media.

Speaking of social media, I wanted to share some fun finds from local companies that have been popping up in my feed if you are looking for any funspiration this October!

To get started, I would take a nice spooky bath with these amazing with cauldron bath bombs...

Then I would cozy up in one of these spooky Slumber Vibes tents for a super fun sleepover.

Get settled in with a snack....

or two....

and dream about accessorizing for the rest of October.

Aren't they all so much fun?! Let us know if you check any of them out; and don't forget to tell them you heard about them from Macaroni KID! Until next time my friends!
