Don't "Let it Go!" and miss out on Disney’s Frozen on Stage

This mama sure did "Let it Go" when my daughter and I attended the Thursday night performance of Disney’s Frozen, The Hit Broadway Musical at the Bennedum Center in Pittsburgh.

Was it the way Elsa walked? Or the way Anna talked? Or the way I felt the chill crisp of the theater aiiiiiiiir? This show was FAR from a "Fixer Upper" with stellar performances from the entire Broadway cast.

Disney's Frozen wasted no time bringing magic to the stage before a single line was spoken (or sung); when Sydney Elise Russel, performing as Young Elsa, walked out onto the stage in front of our diverse Pittsburgh audience.

You could instantly feel the excitement and positive energy flowing through the theater; like Elsa herself was creating a whirling storm inside. And so she did.

The rest of the performance was captivating. Between the beautifully diverse cast, divergent musical numbers, insane costumes and set design, and magic literally flying from Elsa's fingertips through the theater, I just couldn't get enough.

Then along came Sven.

Bravo Frozen! Bravo!

Our MacKID babies loving every second of being in Arrendelle for the evening.

When my daughter was 4, she was obsessed with Frozen. 6 years later and my now 10-year-old is a little more skeptical of the magic that happens in Arendelle, and was a little hesitant about coming to the show with me. Sitting next to her in the Bennedum on Thursday night, there was no way for her to escape the magic and the energy that surrounded us. She has literally thanked me every day since for taking her to see it, and we will cherish this memory for years to come. If you have a Frozen lover at home and can make this performance before it leaves Pittsburgh, it's an experience you won't want to miss!
