Parent Up Pittsburgh: An Empowering Parenting Series Begins this Month

Every Child, Inc. to Host a Series to Help Parents of Teens and Tweens

By Every Child, Inc August 31, 2022

Beginning in September 2022, Every Child, Inc. will host the first of five virtual sessions of Parent Up Pittsburgh: An Empowering Parenting Series presented by NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania.

Parenting is tough. It doesn’t get easier as children get older; every age presents a new challenge that we have to “level up” to meet. Parents are constantly learning and gaining new tools to better protect, teach, and guide their children. That’s why Every Child created Parent Up, to provide parents of tweens and teens a safe space to ask questions, to learn, and to network with other parents going through the same thing.

Parent Up: An Empowering Parenting Series, premiered in September 2020, has been virtually spotlighting a new topic and hosting regional experts to help guide an online workshop to build knowledge and strengthen parenting skills. Previous topics included: quarantine, preventing suicide, building cultural competencies, technology, substance use, dating, and eating disorders.

Tickets are free, but need to be reserved. Tickets can be reserved at: parentuppittsburgh.com

Topics include: violence and guns, pride, sex, mental health, sleep, and more.
