- Leave the Extras at Home
Nickelodeon™ Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya really seems to get what it’s like to travel as a parent and is stocked with basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, vanity mirror, cotton swabs, and a sewing kit. The not-so basics that really wowed me were their stock of strollers, cribs, changing tables, monitors, bottle warmers, car seats on the transportation vehicles, and even kid-sized robes and slippers. Swim towels are provided for your swim-up pool and also at Aqua Nick. So pull out your packing cubes, pack the essentials and save some room for that Nick swag that you can only get at the Nickelodeon™ Hotels & Resorts.
- Download the Karisma app
I can’t tell you how many times I referred to my app during my stay. On the app you can find menus for all the restaurants, access your concierge, view the Náay Spa menu, and even use it as a remote control for your TV! You will also find daily entertainment schedules along with character meet and greet spots and times. With over 20 characters, you don’t have to miss a single one.

- Know How to Navigate the Náay Spa
If you book a service at the Náay Spa, be sure to head over there 30-40 minutes ahead of time to spend time in the relaxation room and hydrotherapy, which are complimentary with any spa service.
- Pac-Man is Everywhere
Seriously. This one is huge. For 2 days I waited patiently for kids to get off the Pac-Man machine in the Snick Lounge so I could play. When I FINALLY got my turn, I realized that each arcade game was connected to a network, allowing you to access any game from any machine. Head to any arcade game in the Snick Lounge and use that trick to play any game you'd like instead of waiting for a particular game to open up.
