Photos from the 2022 Summer Camp Expo & Family Fun Fair

By Emily Papa, Macaroni KID South Hills of Pittsburgh Publisher April 11, 2022

We had such a blast this weekend at our Summer Camp & Family Fun Expo, meeting so many of our readers face to face and watching their families having interacting with our vendors and entertainers. All the planning and long days are totally worth it when we get to see the smiling faces of all your kiddos and get messages like this from our readers:

If you didn't make it out, here are some highlights from the day:

We started by brightening up the venue with a splash of color from The Cheerful Balloon Company. This 20 foot organic balloon arch was oogled over all day long!

Once the decorating was done, it was time for the fun and games to begin. The entertainment wasn't lacking for anyone - Princess and Superhero Parties Pittsburgh held the gym down with a cool digital photo booth and fun games like tug of war.

We had summer camps and vendors with incredible displays and lots of fun for everyone! Thank you to all of our vendors who showed up for the event!

Unfortunately, we did have some last minute vendor cancellations. If you are looking for more camp info on any of our vendors and more, please be sure to check out our Summer Camp Guide for information on over 100 Pittsburgh camps!

No Limits ATA put on quite the performance for us! Those kids sure do have some spirit!

We had a line of people before the event even started!

Thank you to our volunteers who helped us throughout the entire day!

One of my favorite little Macaroni KID volunteers helping out with the door prizes.

We'd like to give a big thank you and shout-out to the following businesses who donated amazing door prizes for our event:

  • 5 Iron Golf
  • Ascend Pittsburgh
  • Brusters Robinson
  • Carnegie Science Center
  • Children's Museum
  • Club Z Tutoring - Kindle Fire
  • Flatbar Skateshop
  • Living Treasures
  • Temple Ohav Shalom
  • Three Rivers Karting
  • Twinkle Time Teepee
  • Paint Monkey
  • Urban Air
  • Washington Wild Things

Entertainment, camps, door prizes and oh yes, SWAG!

SO. MUCH. SWAG.

Do you see those green Macaroni KID Swag bags? They are filled with great summer swag like coupons for freebies, camp info, treats, water bottles, jump ropes, etc. Macaroni KID Pittsburgh would like to donate our extra's to a school or daycare* in the area. If you work in a school or daycare and are interested in picking up some swag bags for the kids in your classroom, email emilyp@macaronikid.com.

Again, thank you everyone who came out with us! Don't forget to tag us in your pictures on social media and use #pghmackid, so we can find your photos. We hope to see you all again at our next event!!
