Here are five fun things to do with your kids in and around Pittsburgh this week that you won't want to miss:

1. Fayette County Fair

Location: Fayette County

Come have some fun at the fair happening all week! Enjoy the fried treats, fun rides and games, rocking performances and so much more at this fun-filled event. You won't to miss out of the entertainment, the fun and the baked goods you can take home for your family to enjoy.


2. Fireworks at Moraine State Park Regatta

Location: Moraine State Park

Cost: FREE

The Regatta is August 6-8 at Moraine State Park in Portersville, PA. It will feature free eco-recreational activities for all ages, dozens of food and craft vendors, races, and live entertainment. Additional activities available during the fireworks including paddles on the lake and a night hike will be announced in the coming weeks. There will also be live music at the Regatta stage before and after the fireworks display.


3. North Strabane Community Day

Location: North Strabane Park

Cost: FREE

Come to the park for a day of food trucks, music, a petting zoo, games, cornhole tournament, and 2nd and 3rd raffle prizes. There's so much fun to be had, you won't want to miss out. Enjoy a fun day in the sun with the whole family.


4. Zoomobile: Wonders of Wildlife 🦎

Location: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Main (Oakland)

Cost: FREE

Discover fur, feathers, and scales in this introduction to some of the world’s most fascinating animals. Using live animals, staff from the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium will explore the physical characteristics of each animal while learning how they are uniquely adapted to their environments.


5. Enjoy a Festival

Location: St. Therese of Lisieux Church, Saint Eugene Church and Saint Raphael Church

Cost: FREE

If you want a fun night to enjoy with your kids and eat some good food, come to the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Festival. Join us for rides for the kids, food booths, nightly dinners and a fireworks show to end the night. Saints Joachim and Anne Parish Festival also has a jam packed activity schedule. Get ready for amazing food booth snacks like funnel cake, fried Twinkies and Oreos, Pierogis and more. The Festival also features games, rides, cash prize drawings, wheelbarrow of cheer, nightly ground prizes, specialty baskets, 3-night super stars basket raffle, bingo, instant bingo, flea market, rides, bake sale, children’s area, nightly entertainment, craft baskets and photo booth. The St. Jude Parish Festival also has delicious snacks and family friendly activities to enjoy all day.
