It's time to get your Pups in gear for the biggest family event of the summer! Our favorite neighborhood pups are back and better than ever. Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, and Zuma are coming to the big screen and Paramount+ on August 20th in PAW Patrol: The Movie, and we are pulling out all our favorite pup-tastic ideas to keep your kids entertained between now and the big day!

The PAW Patrol is on a roll! When their biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc, Ryder and everyone’s favorite heroic pups kick into high gear to face the challenge head on. While one pup must face his past in Adventure City, the team finds help from a new ally, the savvy dachshund Liberty. Together, armed with exciting new gadgets and gear, the PAW Patrol fights to save the citizens of Adventure City! Joining the PAW Patrol in their thrilling first big screen adventure are members from the original series’ cast along with Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi, Kim Kardashian West, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, with Tyler Perry and Jimmy Kimmel and introducing Will Brisbin.

Let's get this Paw-ty started by watching PAW Patrol: The Movie trailer:

Now that your Pups are ready to roll, here are 5 fun activities you can do with them to keep them excited and entertained until the official movie release in theaters and Paramount+ on August 20th:

Start each day with the Pup Pup Boogie

This is a fool-proof way to get your kids fired-up and moving in the morning. For almost two minutes, your little pups will be shaking out their sillies and expelling some of their endless energy positively. I wonder if we'll get any new music to sing along to with this stellar voice cast and new characters that are joining the fan-favorite rescue crew for an all-new adventure in PAW Patrol: The Movie?

You can find the Pup Pup Boogie (along with the remaining PAW Patrol Official Theme Songs) on YouTube Music HERE.

Pup Pup Boogie lyrics:

Do the pup pup boogie - Shake it. Move it, show ‘em what you got, that pup pup stuff.
Do the pup pup boogie - Shimmy groove it, pup pup boogie. Can’t get enough, can’t get enough.
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie
~~musical break~~
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie
Do the pup pup boogie

Enjoy fun snacks!

I made these Marshall-inspired cookies for my son's 3rd birthday. While the firetruck and fire helmet took a little extra time, you really don't have to be an artist to knock out some PAWfect cookies. The paw print cookies are super simple. Make sugar cookies in round circles (you can even buy premade dough, or a premade plain sugar cookie) and once they cool, icing them with one circle for the metacarpal pad and 4 ovals for the digital pads. Simple and sweet! If you want to add a variety in there, the dog bone is also simple (if you have the cookie cutter shape).

Some other fun ideas include serving Puppy Chow, PAWtato Chips, PUPcorn, Chew Stick (jerky), Marshall's Fire Hose (red licorice), Matches (pretzels rods with the tip dipped in white chocolate, then red sprinkles), Fire Truck Tires (mini chocolate donuts), and Fire Hydrant Water (just get this from the sink lol). We have been delighted with PAW Patrol for 8 seasons and almost 200 episodes, so it's pretty easy for us to come up with some creative way to relate to the pups!

Keep the Pups Busy

Once your pups are fed, and ready for some activities to keep them busy, come back to this page for inspiration! PAW Patrol: The Movie is the pup's biggest adventure ever and has a deep emotional core that speaks to families and kids. It's time to pull out all the stops to parallel how PAW Patrol: The Movie takes everything we already love about the series to a whole new level.

Pups on Parade

Whether your kiddos have PAW Patrol stuffies or figurines, pull them all out and line your hallways for an ultimate Pup Parade. Use the link provided above to give you some parade music. Set the stage of imagination for them by telling them they are now in Adventure City, which is much bigger and busier than the PAW Patrol's home of Adventure Bay. Adventure City is filled with exciting new missions, bigger rescues, and all new gadgets, so pull in toys from other collections and let those imaginations run wild!

Have the Pups Save the Day

PAW Patrol has taught my kids some valuable lessons, one of them being the importance of teamwork. Help your little ones work together to defeat their imaginary arch-nemesis by creating an obstacle course or relay race for your pups to complete. Let them know that Mayor Humdinger has gotten a hold of a new invention, and they will need to work together to get it back. PAW Patrol: The Movie will throw in a plot twist like we have never seen before, so pull out all the challenges and bring all your skills to the table!

This simple course we made using hula-hoops to hop from and a soft tunnel to crawl through, so the pups could save a burning building. The "building" was a refrigerator box we got from our local appliance store. I cut 3 sides of a rectangle out of various parts of the box to serve as windows, folding the bottom side in to make a platform. On the platform, I placed red plastic cups with a yellow paper flame on them to serve as the fire. The kids had to use bean bags to knock them off and put out the fire.

If you have older kids, recruit them in creating a more challenging obstacle course and maybe scripting it like our kids did HERE

I don't know about you, but we are just SO excited for PAW Patrol: The Movie to be released that I think we will be using these PAW-ty ideas for the entire month of August! Don't forget to mark your calendars for August 20 when PAW Patrol: The Movie will be playing in a theater near you and streaming on Paramount+!
