Volun TOTS to Honor Healthcare Workers with Cards from Local Children

New volunteer group aims to connect young children and parents with volunteer opportunities

March 7, 2021

Volun TOTS, a new volunteer group for children ages 3-5 and their parents, will be assembling 10,000 thank you bags to be delivered to 17 area hospitals. Bags will be assembled by local families and will include hand-decorated thank you notes, snacks, as well as a special offer from Discount Tire Company.

VolunTOTS was launched in February and aims to help connect young children and their parents with volunteer opportunities in their community. Following the theme of "Everybody can be a helper," Volun TOTS seeks to foster a love of community service in participants from a young age. The group is led by a volunteer steering committee charged with finding age-appropriate service projects within the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
