A magical tradition for ages young and old is to write a letter to Santa and send it off to the North Pole. With many brick and mortar businesses being shut down or having less than normal foot traffic due to COVID 19, you might have trouble finding your traditional mailbox that does straight to the big guy.
A local mother from Bethel Park, Jill Mayer Pitoniak, has very special childhood memories of Christmas and wanted to be sure to pass along the Christmas magic with a friendly neighborhood, COVID-safe solution. Outside her home at 1069 Highfield Road she has a memorial library garden in honor of her late son, Baby Braydon. It's a very special place where families come year round to swap books for both adults and children in the Little Libraries she had installed. This year, in spite of her own families hardships, she has placed a cute mailbox next to her little libraries where her visitors could pick up a book and drop off Letters to Santa. They can even receive a letter back if they put their address on it!
While Jill has been in contact with the elves who have been delivering the letters to the North Pole, she is overwhelmed with the response she has received and the letters dropped off. While the return letters are of no feat for Santa and his helpers, even the big guy could use a little financial help since he's sending them back via postal mail instead of his reindeer and sleigh. The North Pole is requesting that letters be dropped off with a self-addressed stamped envelope included and is also looking for stamp donations (about 200) for the letters already received.
If you are willing to donate stamps (or money to purchase stamps), you can drop them in Santa's Letter Box or mail them directly to:
