Call for Applicants

Give back to your community by lending your time and talent to the Whitehall Public Library Board of Directors.

The Whitehall Public Library is the community resource for education, exploration, enrichment, and enjoyment. The WPL Board of Directors is seeking a community volunteer to fill a board position beginning January 1, 2021.

If you value the importance of the Library to our Whitehall community and want to join an enthusiastic and civic-minded group of volunteers to help shape the future of the WPL, please consider applying! Attendance at the monthly meetings is expected (meetings currently being held remotely via Zoom at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month).  The term length is three years, and board members are permitted to serve two consecutive terms.

We are seeking diverse applicants with a range of backgrounds and perspectives. Please note that Whitehall residency is required.


Application deadline is October 17, 2020. Candidates will be notified if they are selected for an interview - to be held in early November.
