A Place Where Everyone Can Flourish

Arbonne

By Delanie Pohlot August 23, 2020

Hi! My name is Delanie and I’d like to share a story with you. A story that begins with a victim. A victim of society’s expectations and self limits.  But don’t fear, because this story ENDS with empowerment.

My story begins as a teenager - hang with me as we travel back in time; many, many moons ago. I had little knowledge of nutritional value or health/fitness in general.  In fact, I grew up either in a bar or at a baseball field; my diet consisted of wings, candy, chips, and hoagies.  So it is to no surprise that as a teen, I developed an eating disorder.  I was trapped in a mind state that caused me to think that my self-worth was measured purely by my outward appearance.  It’s to no fault of my own - we grew up in a generation where fake people are idolized and social media influencer accounts/highlights are thought to be the everyday reality.  Let’s jump ahead a few years in story and you will find me as an SRU graduate and pregnant at 21 years of age.  Due to my lack of nutritional knowledge, I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant.  I gained 70lbs with my first daughter and 50lbs with my second daughter; being pregnant was in a sense an escape from my mental prison when it came to food.  I ate EVERYTHING.  At this point, I was a young mom that was not only searching for her own identity and  purpose, all while navigating motherhood.  Like many others, I was at the peak of discovering who I was, although still battling the ideas of what society told me I had to be - being a mom just shifted my priories in a different direction a little quicker.

I decided that the degree I had from SRU did not align with my soul.  I suffered from extreme social anxiety for many years; I really feared judgement from others.  This became crippling to me many times in my journey.  For instance, my degree was in education but the mere thought of being in the public eye paralyzed me.  So, I went back to the drawing board — I ended up returning to school and getting a degree in Veterinary Technology.  I was a certified Vet Tech for 4 years; I absolutely LOVED my job.  Although being a Vet Tech was very demanding physically, emotionally and mentally - it was rewarding for me to be of service to living creatures who do not have a voice.  My passion for the Vet Tech industry started declining when I had my second daughter — the time away from my children did not match the numbers on my paycheck.  My priorities were with providing my children with a better life instead of providing a voice and service to animals.

Again, I went back to the drawing board.  This time I submerged myself into real estate and became a PA certified real estate agent.  Remember, I suffered from extreme social anxiety, therefore I crippled in fear. I was so controlled by fear that I didn't even give real estate a chance.  My real estate career ended before it even began.

Here we go, back to the drawing board yet again.  This time I focused my thoughts towards “What can I share with people?”  My mind immediately went to the emotions that I feel when I am at my highest frequency. (High frequency emotions include: love, joy, peace, reason etc.  Low frequency emotions include: fear, guilt, shame and grief.)  I personally felt at my highest frequency while engaging in health and fitness.  You see - after my second daughter was born and I found myself over 200lbsfor the second time in my life. I was desperate for a change.  I hired an online coach who not only taught me how to fuel my body via Macros, how to train my body effectively, but also showed me the importance of mindset and how to strengthen my mind.  The most empowering thing you can do is to set a goal and show up for yourself every single day; that’s when fear and doubt lose their power!  Your mind is a very powerful weapon; all of our thoughts have energy.  Once I align myself with my goals, I become limitless.  In 10 months, I lost over 70#lbs naturally; it's safe to say that in my weight loss journey, I had found my power.  That is exactly what I desperately wanted to share with others - to help others find their own power through their health.  I proceeded to get certified in personal training and developed my own fitness website where I coached people online.

Ah, now we are at the point in the story where I discovered where I fit.  A month before COVID-19 hit I stumbled upon an Instagram profile promoting Arbonne.  I knew NOTHING about this company; I went into FBI mode and started researching.  The last thing I wanted to do was jump into a health and wellness company that did not really align with health and wellness, if you know what I mean.  Little did I know that Arbonne was all of that and so much more.  I knew health and fitness was my passion, but I just didn’t know that Arbonne would be my vehicle.

What is Arbonne you ask?

Arbonne is a Swiss Health and Wellness Company and is globally ranked the #1 vegan health and wellness company.  Ultimately, I decided to join this company for many reasons but the main ones include: being able to work from home with my kids, their ingredient policy and the faith driven community.

Previously, I was blinded by marketing! I was guilty of thinking that any product that a celebrity endorsed must be a quality product, right? WRONG!  Fun fact: did you know that the FDA only bans 14 ingredients that have been known to cause cancer or be harmful to the consumer or that Europe bans 1,400 ingredients? Arbonne bans 2,000+ toxic and harmful ingredients. Fourteen compared to 2,000+ is a HUGE gap.  It was alarming to me; I immediately felt those high frequency emotions again - I felt empowered with this information.  I felt aligned with purpose to empower others with this information too.  Arbonne’s whole product philosophy is:  Pure, Safe, and Beneficial;  meaning that if an ingredient  isn’t pure, safe for you and the environment, and/or beneficial to you, then it does not belong in any of their products. Boom, just like that!

So, what’s my personal experience with these products? Well lets just say, I will be an Arbonne lifer. Arbonne provides a safe alternative for almost everything: sunscreen, toothpaste, a baby line, men’s line, body care, hair care, nutrition, makeup, skincare etc.  Arbonne provides over 400+ nontoxic products; there is something for everyone! Since switching to Arbonne products, my skin is no longer inflamed or showing extreme signs of premature aging, my weight management is a breeze, my anxiety is almost nonexistent and my heart is full.  I honestly wish I knew about Arbonne’s 30 days to healthy living challenge when I was going through my initial weight loss journey.  The amount of information that I learned through the program outweighed all the information that I previously gained in 4 years of “dieting”.  This program not only gave me the gift of knowledge but it also gave me the gift of life.  I no longer feel guilt for indulging in sweets or junk food 20% of the time because I am so confident in the other 80% that I practice healthy living choices.

When I signed up as a consultant, I was welcomed into a faith driven community.  Our team values each other and the support is endless.  In a world where it is easy to feel alone in a crowded room, Arbonne has given me a family.  I never feel alone anymore because I have a community backing me;  faith driven, supportive, empowering, positive, and all things good.

As an Arbonne consultant, another perk is that I do not hold inventory; everything that I purchase from my own Arbonne online store, I personally use.  I have my own personal website that clients can easily access to and have products shipped right to their door! I like to say I’m similar to Amazon Prime but with a face :) Free training is also given to consultants as well as virtual events/meetings. Visit: earnings.arbonne.com for more information. *There are no guarantees. Results are different for everyone. Annual typical earning statement available here. *

I do NOT consider myself a salesperson.  To be honest, I cringe at the thought of sales! I simply share the products that I use and love.  Think about it, if a friend compliments your lipstick and you mention that you purchased it from Sephora - that friend will most likely give their business to Sephora.  How is it any different if you direct your friend to your actual store?  It's not! Except, not only are you recommending a safer product but you’re also supporting a local momma and making a profit!

One more special note about Arbonne: Arbonne has recently obtained their Certified B corporation.  This means that they are a company that EQUALLY cares about the planet, people, as well as profit. As a company, Arbonne is projecting to be a zero waste company by 2030. In fact, we just paired with Terracyle to form our own recycling program (Arbonnecycle).  Now, every single part of our products is recyclable, decreasing our carbon footprint!

That being said, let me introduce myself again.
