What a fun family tradition to start! These lovely links are so simple that even the smallest kids can participate. Instead of counting down to a special occasion, these are used to count our blessings! Each night at dinner we come up with something that we’re thankful for as a family and add it to our link. It’s truly a stunning visual reminder of all we have to be thankful for! I think we might try to see if we can come up with enough to encircle the entire kitchen! I bet your family can too!
How To
1. Cut some equal length and width strips of fall colored paper.
2. Get some markers and let your child write what they are thankful for that day. (Or they can draw a picture.)
3. Use glue sticks, tape or a stapler to slide the strip into the previous circled strip and then adhere it, creating a "link."
4. Now hang your thankful chain up and watch it grow!
