What you need:
plastic platter (we got ours in the summer aisle at Walmart for a dollar!)
acryclic paint
sharpie markers
I always love to KNOW what I'm putting on a project as far as lettering so I'm big on finding a quote or printing out what I want to say in a font that I love and that I can PROBABLY re-create by hand. If you are going the Dad's Stache route, I used this as my inspiration but there are tons more.
I created the inside portion of the platter using first a sharpie marker (black) to draw on my lettering and the "stache." Then I hand panted the acryclic paint.
You'll want to seal this up though with a modge podge or acryclic clear coat if you use the acrylic paint. It'll help it to not SCRATCH the paint off. You might even want to do it if you simply use all sharpies for decoration.
If you are letting the kids help to decorate then you really only need to have some patience on hand. I let the kids do their fingerprints on the side of the plate but perhaps the fingerprints could be the interior of the mustache?
There are loads of options but the point of this craft is to give DAD or that special loved one a PLACE to "stache" all of his stuff (that he loses on a daily basis.)
Additional Daddy's Stache options;
Money Jar
