Welcome back!

Hi everyone! Mandy here...I know it seems I never write here anymore. Evonne has been so gracious as to allow me a break from the newsletter responsibilities for a while. It has been a nice break...but I miss being an active part of publishing every week. Just know I am still here!

Evonne & I want to take a moment to tell you where we hope to steer the newsletter in the coming months. We pride ourselves on providing all of our subscribers with a comprehensive list of family and kid friendly events each week. We try to offer variety in one conveniently located spot, to save you the work of looking everywhere to find something fun to do every week. We also have been very fortunate to offer contests and giveaways, and we know you all love those! We do too! However, in an effort to focus on the main thrust of the newsletter--events!-- we are going to be taking a little break from those for a short time. While we love offering them, they are time consuming and involved. There are rules and regulations to follow (for US and YOU), follow-up to make sure the winners respond and receive their prize, and attention to timeliness for both our subscribers and the venue(s). It takes a toll. 

Evonne and I agree that we want to spend our time and energy on what is the greatest value...and the sole reason Macaroni Kid was created by the two founders a few years ago--events! Their mission was to offer their subscribers activities that will entertain and exhaust their children. And we have adopted that mission as well. 

We are looking forward to offering you event-and-article-packed issues each week. We are also aiming to provide exposure to the family friendly businesses in and around the South Hills area.

We hope you will continue reading and sharing Mac Kid South Hills with your family and friends. We have doubled in size in a year's time (we are at +2500 subscribers, +1100 Facebook "likes", and +40,000 web hits per month!) and look to continue that trend over the next 12 months and beyond. We could NOT do that without all of you! 

So here's to a wonderful new year for Macaroni Kid South Hills! :)
